Maximum supported the LGBTQ community in the Murmansk region from 2009 to 2015. The organization provided social, psychological and legal assistance to victims of discrimination and homophobia, published relevant newspapers and brochures.
Soon after being included in the register of 'foreign agents', 'Maximum' ceased its activities. However, the regional initiative group of the same name, created on its basis, continues to work today.

According to the official version, 'the fact that the organization in question meets the characteristics of a non-profit organization performing the functions of a foreign agent was established in the course of the federal state supervision of the activities of the organization concerned by the Murmansk Oblast Department of the Ministry of Justice of Russia'.
