Friends of Falun Gong

The organization is dedicated to helping and supporting practitioners of the Chinese spiritual practice of Falun Gong. Falun Gong is a religious movement that emerged in China in the early 1990s. It is based on Chinese qigong gymnastics combined with elements of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and traditional folk beliefs. In the late 1990s, the movement was banned in the PRC and the Chinese authorities launched widespread repression against practitioners of Falun Gong.

"Friends of Falun Gong" have been recognized as an "undesirable" organization in Russia.
