OVD‑Info is a human rights media project that processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

We process personal and contact data, message texts, and other information that individuals voluntarily share with us when contacting us via our hotline, chatbots (including Telegram), website forms (including payment forms, contact collection and mailing lists), messengers (including WhatsApp Business), and other communication channels. In certain cases, special categories of data may be processed, including information about instances of persecution, exclusively for the purpose of providing legal assistance.

Personal data is processed for the provision of human rights assistance, documentation of persecution cases, and preparation of anonymized analytics. Processing is carried out in the public interest and on other applicable legal grounds provided for by the GDPR. In certain cases where automated processing may be used, data is anonymized whenever possible.

Data is stored with external cloud service providers and protected through reasonable technical and organizational measures. We do not transfer personal data to third parties, except where necessary to provide assistance or to use technical data‑processing services.

Personal data are stored no longer than necessary for the purposes of processing and can be deleted upon request. Data subjects have the right to request correction or deletion of their data, as well as to object to processing, by sending a request to: info@ovdinfo.org. We review requests and respond to them within 30 days.
