On 22 May, the Prikubansky District Court in Krasnodar sentenced local resident Dmitry Dyba to one and a half years of compulsory labour in a case concerning donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). This was reported by his lawyer, Felix Wertegel; the case file is available on the court’s website.

Dyba was charged under the article concerning the funding of an extremist organisation (Part 1, Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code) because of seven donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation, totalling 1,050 roubles (approximately US$11). News about the opening of this criminal case emerged in February. During the investigation, the man was under a travel restriction order.

The case was considered in a single hearing. According to the verdict, 10% of the convicted person’s salary will be withheld for the benefit of the state. The prosecutor had asked for Dmitry Dyba to receive a three-year sentence in a general-regime penal colony.
