A St Petersburg resident was fined for holding a picket against Alexander Bastrykin

The Pushkinsky District Court of St Petersburg fined local resident Oleg Gurchenkov 20,000 roubles (approx. US$220) under the article on holding a public action without submitting notification (part 2, article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences). This was reported by the press service of the St Petersburg courts.

According to the press service, by no later than 1 pm on 17 June, Gurchenkov held a solo picket on Pulkovo Highway against the head of the Investigative Committee. The man displayed a poster on a GAZelle van featuring an image of an unknown man, a QR code, and the inscription: “RESPECTED BASTRYKIN A.I., PLEASE LEND ME A TIME MACHINE” (original spelling preserved).

Gurchenkov did not dispute holding the picket, but stated that “he had no intent.”
