A St Petersburg resident has been detained in a criminal case concerning donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK).

In St Petersburg, FSB officers have detained a local resident over donations to FBK. This was reported by TASS.

The detainee is being charged under the article on financing an extremist organisation (Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code).

The man told law enforcement that he set up an automatic payment to donate to FBK in 2021, and money was withdrawn from his account for seven months. During this period, FBK was designated as an extremist organisation. On camera, the detainee said that they regret their actions and “didn’t think about the consequences” of their decision.
