Dmitry Prozorov, a former law enforcement officer from Kirov convicted over his posts about Bucha, has been transferred to Penal Colony No. 5 in Kirov region, reports the “Support Political Prisoners. Memorial” project.
On 26 February, the Leninsky District Court of Kirov sentenced him to five years in a penal colony on charges of “spreading fake news” about the army (Part 2, Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), because of “a couple of brief comments about Bucha” in the local “Typical Kirov” community in 2022. Before the sentence, Prozorov was under a travel ban, after which he was transferred to a pre-trial detention centre. In April, the Kirov Regional Court upheld the verdict.
