The decision to revoke the media registration of “Caucasian Knot” has been upheld on appeal. This was reported by the Media Rights Protection Centre.
In December 2024, the court cancelled the publication’s registration certificate following a lawsuit from Roskomnadzor. The agency claimed that the “Caucasian Knot” website had not been updated for a year. This is not the case—new content appears on the publication’s page daily. However, because the website is blocked in Russia, officials cannot access the latest news and articles.
The “Caucasian Knot” website was blocked in March 2022 as part of military censorship. In October 2021, the Ministry of Justice placed the publication’s legal entity on the register of “foreign agent” media outlets.
