The Ministry of Justice has filed a claim with the Supreme Court of Russia to dissolve the political party “Russian All-People’s Union.” The case card was noticed by the Yekaterinburg-based publication “Vecherniye Vedomosti” .

The first hearing on the claim has been scheduled for 21 July.

In the 2025 gubernatorial election in Sverdlovsk Region, a candidate from the Russian All-People’s Union is planning to take part—Yekaterinburg-based lawyer and civil activist Ivan Volkov. As “Vecherniye Vedomosti” notes, the nomination of candidates will continue until 24 July.

Volkov has already put himself forward as a candidate for governor of Sverdlovsk Region from the same party twice—in 2017 and 2022. On both occasions, he was refused registration due to not collecting the required number of signatures from municipal deputies.

  • The nationalist-patriotic “Russian All-People’s Union” was registered as a movement in 1991, and as a political party in 2011. Its leader is Sergey Baburin. On the party’s website it says: “The RAS brings together citizens of patriotic convictions, supporters of the restoration of a strong and independent Russian State, inheriting the thousand-year experience of a spiritually and morally rich cultural-historical civilisation!”
