Moscow resident Lyubov Lukashenko was detained in the metro over an action held for Varlam Shalamov’s birthday. She told OVD-Info about the incident.
According to her, on 19 June she hung a fragment of Shalamov’s short story “Sherry-Brandy” at the entrance to Taganskaya metro station. After that, law enforcement officers contacted Lukashenko and said they would be drawing up an administrative protocol against her. Which article it would be under is unknown. The police demanded that she come to the police station.
A few days later, officers came to her home, knocked, and waited for the Muscovite to open the door. When she did not respond, they left.
Tonight, Lukashenko was detained at Chistye Prudy metro station. She refused to have the protocol drawn up at the police department, and asked the officers to do it without her. In response, they photographed her passport and her, and said that officers from the 4th police department would be arriving shortly “to have a talk” with her.
23:59 Lyubov Lukashenko, who had been detained over the action for Shalamov’s birthday, was released without a protocol from the 4th police department at the Moscow metro. This was reported by lawyer Oscar Cherdzhiev, who represented her at the police station, on his channel.
