The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has declared Yale University in the USA an “undesirable” organisation in the country. This was announced on the department’s website.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the university’s activities are aimed at “violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, an international blockade of the state, undermining its economic foundations, as well as destabilising the socio-economic and political situation in the country.”
The department claims that the university’s “global leadership” training programme is, in fact, “training opposition leaders of foreign states.” The statement notes that leaders and activists of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) have completed this programme and “used the knowledge and technologies gained at the school to escalate protest activity in Russia.”
The university is also allegedly working on the legal justification for transferring frozen Russian assets in the West “to fund the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU).”
