In Kaliningrad Region, the prosecutor’s office has approved charges against lawyer Vladislav Zavgorodny for inciting terrorism (Part 2, Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the local prosecutor’s office and the channel “Word to the Defence”.
According to “Word to the Defence,” Zavgorodny is charged over a comment he published in October 2024, in which he “expressed regret that a Ukrainian drone, during one of its strikes on Russian territory, did not hit members of the country’s top leadership.”
The lawyer was detained on 7 March, and on 11 March his lawyer status was suspended. Judging by the report from the “Word to the Defence” channel, Zavgorodny was sent to a pre-trial detention centre—whether he is still being held there is unclear from the text.
