A criminal case has been opened against the streamer who spat on the St George ribbon.

A criminal case has been opened against streamer Andrei Skutin (known as “Tarakan”) for desecration of a symbol of military glory (Part 3, Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code) after he spat on a St George ribbon. RIA Novosti reports.

The Telegram channel “ChP Russia,” which is associated with law enforcement agencies, wrote that Skutin spat on the ribbon for a donation. The channel also clarified that this took place a few days after Victory Day.

Investigators requested that Andrei Skutin be sent to a pre-trial detention centre, but the Cheryomushki District Court in Moscow declined to do so. It is currently unknown which pre-trial measure the streamer is under.
