The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced 34-year-old Anna Krasovskaya, a resident of Gelendzhik, a resort city on the Black Sea, to a fine of 350,000 roubles (approximately US$3,800) on charges of publicly justifying terrorism (Part 2, Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the Krasnodar Krai Prosecutor’s Office.

The woman has also been banned from administering internet pages and channels for two years.

According to investigators, on 19 May 2023, Krasovskaya posted a comment in a servicemember’s “Azov” group supporting the regiment in one of the messaging apps. Law enforcement considered this to be justification of terrorism by the woman.

The case was submitted to court on 17 June. The proceedings were completed in two sessions.

In 2024, Krasovskaya was fined seven times under the article on “discrediting the army” (Part 1, Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences). According to three published rulings, the woman was then prosecuted over comments she posted in pro-Ukrainian Telegram chats (1, 2, 3). In one of these, she wrote: “death to the Russian occupiers.”

Another protocol was issued against Krasovskaya under the article on promoting banned symbols (Part 1, Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

It is likely that all eight administrative protocols against Krasovskaya were drawn up in a single day, as they were submitted to the Gelendzhik City Court on 21 August last year.
