The Prosecutor’s Office of Zabaykalsky Krai has handed over the case of 57-year-old Olga Ogarkova from Chita, a city in eastern Siberia, to the court on charges of justifying terrorism (part 2, article 205.2 of the Criminal Code), reports the office’s press service.

According to the investigation, from December 2022 to February 2024, the woman posted messages in one messenger app which “contained calls to attempt the life of senior government officials, as well as justifications for missile strikes on the Crimean Bridge.” The messages were allegedly accompanied by “disrespectful remarks about her fellow citizens and fellow Zabaykalians, wishes for victory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and support for sabotage and terrorist attacks carried out in Russia.”

The case will be heard by the 2nd Eastern District Military Court.
