The Russian Ministry of Justice has added the British organisation “International House” and the Georgian civic movement for justice accessibility “Anmood” to the register of “undesirable” organisations. This was reported by the pro-Kremlin agency RIA Novosti, citing the website of the ministry.

“Anmood” (UNMODE) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO). According to information from its website, it “seeks systemic changes in international legislation and in the laws of post-Soviet countries, through effective partnership with other NGOs and by increasing the effectiveness of each of its members.” The organisation consists of human rights defenders, “those who have the skills or intention to openly defend human rights.”

“International House” (International House World Organisation) is a network of language schools founded in 1953. It currently brings together more than 140 language schools in 45 countries around the world, notes Vedomosti.
