A woman from Komi has been fined 400,000 roubles (US$4,400) for donating 700 roubles (US$8) to the Anti-Corruption Foundation.

The Syktyvkar City Court has fined Anna Reutova 400,000 roubles (US$4,400) after finding her guilty of financing extremist activities (Part 1, Article 282.3 of the Russian Criminal Code) due to donations made to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. This was reported by the SOVA Research Centre, which drew attention to press releases from the court and the regional prosecutor’s office.

The 31-year-old Reutova set up monthly donations of 100 roubles each to the organisation. From August 2021 to February 2022, she transferred a total of 700 roubles (US$8) to the Anti-Corruption Foundation.

The woman fully admitted her guilt.
