The Prosecutor General’s Office has declared the British non-governmental organisation The Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI) “undesirable.” This was reported on the agency’s website.

“RUSI participants regularly organise training sessions and seminars, during which, under the pretext of countering an alleged Russian threat, they discuss Russian military and intelligence tactics, the methodology of warfare, and the development of new types of weapons,” the Prosecutor General’s Office writes. The agency also claims that the British organisation accuses Russia of seeking to annex Europe and interfering in Western elections, and calls for NATO countries to strengthen sanctions against Russia.

  • The Royal United Services Institute was founded in 1831 in London by the Duke of Wellington. The organisation specialises in research on defence and security in an international context. It is currently ranked among the ten most frequently cited think tanks in the world.
