A criminal case has been opened in Novosibirsk, a major city in Siberia, against a 17-year-old teenager who set fire to the New Testament.

A criminal case has been opened against a 17-year-old for insulting the feelings of believers (Part 1, Article 148 of the Criminal Code) after he burned a copy of the New Testament. This was reported by TASS.

The teenager filmed himself burning the New Testament and posted the video on one of the Telegram channels.

The security forces decided that he had insulted the feelings of believers.

The criminal case has already been sent to the Leninsky District Court in Novosibirsk, a major city in Siberia.
