A resident of Anapa, a resort town on the Black Sea, was fined 500,000 roubles (US$5,700) for donating 500 roubles (US$5.70) to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK).

The Anapa District Court has sentenced local resident Aleksandr Protasov to a fine of 500,000 roubles (approximately US$5,500) in a case involving a donation to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). This was reported by the press service of the Krasnodar Krai courts.

The man was found guilty of financing extremist activity (Part 1, Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code) for sending 500 roubles (about US$5.50) to FBK in August 2021.

In court, Protasov described his actions as thoughtless and admitted guilt.
