The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia demands that the American legal entity of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) be recognised as a “terrorist organisation.”

The Navalny Team reported that the Prosecutor General’s Office has demanded that the American legal entity linked to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (the ACF) be designated as a terrorist organisation.

On 27 November, the Supreme Court of Russia will consider the claim as the court of first instance.

The post’s authors commented: “A new badge to add to our collection, and a top one at that. The Kremlin has (so far) come up with nothing worse. The ACF will become the first organisation to have gathered Putin’s entire ‘iconostasis’ of awards: foreign agents, undesirable, extremists, terrorists.” They noted that the new status will create even more problems for the organisation: it will become harder to work with banks, international partners, donors, and with sanctions lists.

“No one in the Kremlin will be punished for ‘fighting terrorism’ in any form-only rewarded. There will be more provocations and attacks. More threats. Will this stop us? Of course not. You know us,” the Navalny Team declared.
