65-year-old Mikhail Kriger has ended his dry hunger strike. His support group reports this.
The prisoner has started drinking water and sweet tea again, though he does not plan to begin eating yet. Mikhail’s health is reportedly good: his blood pressure is 120/80 and his oxygen saturation is 98%. His support group says: “Mikhail sends his regards to everyone, asks you not to worry about him: he feels well, has no intention of dying, and says: 'We will live.'”
- Mikhail Kriger has been on hunger strike since 25 September—almost a month. For about two weeks he was on a dry hunger strike. Kriger’s demand is to end his isolation and return him to his prison unit. However, last week, the prisoner was given two days in a punishment cell (SHIZO) for lying down on his bed at an unauthorised time.
