A woman from Perm who organised a concert in support of “stoptime” was not released from detention

Singer Ekaterina Ostasheva from Perm, who organised a concert in support of “stoptime,” was not released from the detention centre on 8 November. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Rassvet @ Perm Krai.”

Instead, the young woman was taken to the police station, where she was given a protocol for disobeying the police (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences). This administrative case is due to be considered today, 10 November. Until the hearing, the singer remains at the police station.

On 6 November, Ostasheva was sentenced to 60 hours of compulsory work on the charge of organising a mass gathering of people that disrupted public order (Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences). The protocol was issued to her because of a concert she held on Esplanade Square on 22 October, together with other musicians, in support of the “stoptime” participants.

The performer was detained on 1 November following a report by a man who said he was late for his bus because of the concert. On 3 November, a court sentenced her to seven days’ arrest under the article for refusing a medical examination for drug intoxication (Article 6.9.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

The young woman said that after her detention, the police at Leninsky police station treated her roughly. During questioning, she said, she was pushed, fell to her knees and received bruises. She intends to file complaints against the actions of the police.

13:34 Ekaterina Ostasheva was sentenced to 15 days’ arrest under the article on disobeying the police. This was reported by SOTAvision. According to security forces, she “refused to turn off her mobile phone and stop filming video.” Her defence, in turn, emphasised that no demands to turn off the device had been made, and that the incident with the phone actually happened the morning of 1 November, not the evening of 8 November as stated in the protocol.
