Bohdan Yakimenko, an anti-fascist from Rostov, was brought to court with a broken arm. This was reported by a Mediazona correspondent from inside the courthouse.
Yakimenko’s right arm was in a cast. The anti-fascist asked for the hearing to be postponed due to his condition. The Mediazona correspondent noted that the detainee’s speech was slurred.
Nevertheless, the judge did not postpone the hearing and questioned Yakimenko. The judge referred to a medical note stating that Yakimenko was able to take part in the court proceedings.
- Bohdan Yakimenko and at least six other anti-fascists are being prosecuted under “extremism”-related articles because of the Antifa United public page. Yakimenko is considered by law enforcement to be the leader of the “community.” He is the only defendant in the case who remains in custody.
