The Pskov City Court will consider today a request for the arrest of the head of the local Yabloko branch, reports the press service of the regional courts.
On 3 December, an investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Pskov region opened a new criminal case against Shlosberg—under the article on military “fakes” (clause “d” part 2 article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code). According to Yabloko, the case was initiated over a repost on Telegram made in February 2022. The politician does not admit guilt.
The party notes that on 8 December the maximum period of house arrest was due to expire in another case against Shlosberg—over “discrediting” the army.
20:09 The court has remanded Shlosberg in custody for two months, reports the press service of the courts in Pskov region (a city in north-western Russia). The hearing lasted six hours and was held behind closed doors.
- This is already the third criminal case against the politician. In early November, he was sentenced to 420 hours of compulsory labour in a case on evading “foreign agent” responsibilities.
- The investigation is also ongoing in the case over “discrediting” the army. The grounds for this case were a post on Odnoklassniki featuring a recording of a debate between Shlosberg and historian Yuri Pivovarov about a possible peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia. The politician has said that he did not publish the video and does not administer the page where it appeared.
