The Central District Court of Novosibirsk has remanded 33-year-old Roman Zavodsky in custody on charges of justifying terrorism (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code). This was reported on the court’s website.

The regional office of the FSB claims that the man, who opposes the war in Ukraine, posted a comment on a Telegram channel in support of the “Russian Volunteer Corps,” which fights as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The security service describes the detainee as a participant in “Memorial.” He left Russia in 2022 during the mobilisation and returned in 2025. There is no publicly available information confirming the man’s involvement with “Memorial.”
