The leader of the regional branch of the Yabloko party, Grigory Gribenko, has been arrested for another ten days, reports activist Pavel Kharitonenko on his Telegram channel.
This time, Gribenko was arrested under the article for disobeying the police (Part 1, Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). This protocol was drawn up after his flat was searched as part of investigative measures, which were carried out under the pretext of searching for drugs.
Previously, he served 12 days of detention for refusing a medical examination (Part 1, Article 6.9 of the Administrative Code). The politician was due to be released on the evening of 6 May, but the police detained him again.
Gribenko was first detained on 10 April. He was forced to undergo an examination. At the city drug clinic, they found traces of marijuana in the politician’s system. At a private clinic on the same day, Gribenko’s tests found nothing. Because of this, at the next detention, he refused to undergo the examination.
- The politician tried to organise a rally in Irkutsk, a major city in Siberia, against internet blockades. After refusals from the mayor’s office, he began legal proceedings against the officials.
