The alleged organisers of mass riots in Baymak, a city in Bashkortostan, are facing sentences of between 14 and 15 years in prison.

The prosecution is seeking sentences of 14 years in prison for those accused of “organising mass riots,” and 15 years for those also charged with “using violence against a government representative.” This was reported by Idel.Realii, citing Bashkortostan-based activists.

Today, in the Orenburg Regional Court, closing arguments began. The next hearing is scheduled for 19 August.
