Lida Moniava, founder of the children’s hospice “House with a Lighthouse,” has been detained in Moscow. She is suspected of spreading “fake news” about the Russian army. This was reported by RBC, citing her lawyer, Mikhail Biryukov.

In the morning, Moniava’s home was searched. She is currently being questioned at the Investigative Committee, accompanied by her lawyer. No formal charges have yet been brought against her.

Previously, Moniava was already held responsible over posts about the army—in February 2026, she was fined 45,000 roubles (about US$500) under the article on “discrediting” the army.
