Yulia Kuznetsova, candidate for the State Duma from the Green Party, stopped responding to messages on the evening of 17 September after a meeting with voters in Sokolniki, reports SOTAvision. Before she disappeared, she wrote to acquaintances that she was taking a taxi home with her husband and was about 15 minutes away from home. After that, it was not possible to contact them.
Nikolay Toropov, head of the Moscow movement “Rassvet,” tried to find out where Kuznetsova was during the night and contacted the police. According to him, at the Babushkinsky police station, he was shown a video from the entrance camera that showed Kuznetsova and her husband entering their building. However, police did not confirm whether the couple left the building afterwards. There is no official information about Kuznetsova’s detention.
Shortly before Kuznetsova’s disappearance, her observers were denied access to polling stations. The territorial election commission of the Bogorodskoye district said that the candidate herself withdrew them. Kuznetsova denied this and claimed that the document with her signature had been forged.

“Hello, everyone! This is Yulia Kuznetsova. My husband and I are both all right. Yesterday, I had a rather difficult conversation, after which my husband had to provide me with psychological and medical assistance. I am fine now and will be home soon. Thank you very much to everyone who was worried about me”, she said in a video on her Telegram channel.
The candidate’s colleagues are convinced that the video was filmed under duress. It was likely not recorded on her own phone—the quality is very different from her previous videos.
