The founder of the Russian Democratic Society has been added to the list of “terrorists and extremists”

Rosfinmonitoring has added Kseniya Maksimova to its register of “terrorists and extremists,” reports RusNews. Earlier, Maksimova was declared wanted at the federal level. It is not known under which article of the Criminal Code a case has been opened against her.

In 2022, Maksimova and other activists founded the Russian Democratic Society in London, which organises anti-war protests. In 2024, she also became consul for the “Anti-War Committee of Russia” in the United Kingdom.

The Russian authorities consider the Russian Democratic Society to be an “undesirable” organisation. The Supreme Court has recognised the “Anti-War Committee of Russia” as a “terrorist organisation.”

According to the FSB, she organised the collection of funds and other aid “in the interests of the Kyiv regime” through the Russian Democratic Society.

The security service also claims that this movement has become a platform for people who allegedly plan the violent overthrow of power and a change of constitutional order in Russia, as well as for spreading “fake news” about the Russian army and “psychological bullying” of Russian officials in the United Kingdom.
