Georgy Paramoshin, convicted in the case concerning the “Natsdem” Telegram channel, has been sent to a punishment cell for refusing to weave camouflage nets for the Russian army. This was reported by “Slovo Zashchite” (“A Word for the Defence”), citing the prisoner’s relatives.
The length of time Paramoshin will spend in the punishment cell is unknown. According to information from SOTAvision, the relatives have also been told of threats to transfer him to stricter detention conditions.
Earlier this summer, Paramoshin had already faced pressure at Pre-trial Detention Facility No. 1 in Gorno-Altaysk, a city in southern Siberia. In July, he received five disciplinary penalties within a week. One of the reasons was this: the facility’s staff demanded Paramoshin write an application for a prison uniform, even though they were supposed to issue it automatically.
Additionally, Paramoshin was placed on a preventive watchlist as someone allegedly prone to escape and assaulting staff. His lawyer has also reported threats from one of the detention centre staff.
In October 2025, the Sergiyev Posad City Court sentenced Paramoshin to eight years in a general regime penal colony, under articles on organising an extremist community, making public calls for extremism, and inciting hatred. He was acquitted on a separate charge—of involving a minor in a crime. Paramoshin has been added to the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists.
The case is related to the “Natsdem” Telegram channel, which Paramoshin created in 2022. The channel published posts against migrants, as well as criticism of the Russian authorities and the war in Ukraine.
