Alexei Dymovsky

Detained while in his car on 14 October 2019. Following his detention, he handed over to the police officers TNT, which, he claimed, he found at a dump for physical evidence to be destroyed. Dymovsky was questioned and released, but on 17 October was taken into custody on charges of possession and transportation of explosives. On 27 January 2020, it was reported that Dymovsky was also accused of calls to extremism, because of the video recorded on 14 October. On 11 August, the court transferred Dymovsky under house arrest and returned his case to the prosecutor's office. On 28 April 2023, Dymovsky was sentenced to a year and eight months in a penal colony and a fine of 5,000 rubles.

In January 2010, a fraud by abuse of position case was launched against Dymovsky, then a police major, after he published a video about corruption in internal affairs agencies that became extremely popular. He was taken into custody but was released in March, on a recognisance not to leave. He was then ordered to pay 50,000 rubles to each of the two police officers mentioned in the video. In April, the criminal case against him on the charges of fraud by abuse of position was terminated. The punishment was considered served.
