Alexei Kazakov

He is a resident of the Saratov region. In early September of 2025, he was detained in a case of participation in an extremist organisation in connection with his involvement in the Jehovah’s Witnesses community. On 5 September, the court ordered that he be taken into custody. On 25 September, he was placed under house arrest.

Representatives of this community are prosecuted for extremism solely because of their religious activities – holding meetings and worship services, as well as attracting new supporters.
