A resident of the Arkhangelsk region, took part in actions against the construction of a landfill at the Shiyes station to import rubbish from Moscow to the region. A self-rule case was brought against him and three other people: they were accused of attacking an excavator at an environmental camp. Their associates said that Kozlov, the victim in the case, "destroyed the activists' caravan with a bucket, injuring [environmentalist] Vladimir Kogut, and then, swinging the bucket from side to side, crowding people, cleared the way for himself." The cassation court twice returned the case to the appeal court, which then, on 19 October 2021, increased the sentence by six months.
