Asan Bai

Resident of the Kherson region (Ukraine). He was detained and taken into custody in September 2024. According to human rights defenders, his relatives were intimidated and forbidden to report about his detention. A case was opened against him on charges of participation in an illegal armed formation due to his involvement in the activities of the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan, whose involvement in any military actions has not been proven. In November 2024, the case went to court.
