In custody since 7 November 2012 on charges of organising the activities of an extremist organisation, preparing for a violent seizure of power, as well as involving people in committing acts aimed at a violent seizure of power and violent changes in the constitutional order. He admitted guilt partially. He explained that he was indeed a member of "Hizb ut-Tahrir", knowing about the ban on the organisation, but was engaged only in educational work and did not plan a violent seizure of power. He explained that he was indeed a member of "Hizb ut-Tahrir", knowing about the ban on the organisation, but was engaged only in educational work and did not plan a violent seizure of power. On 30 June 2014, he was sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime penal colony. On 11 December 2014, the court of second instance left the sentence unchanged. On 7 November 2023, Inamov was released, but on the same day he was detained and placed in a detention detention facility for foreign citizens. He was soon deported to Uzbekistan, where Hizb ut-Tahrir is also banned.
