In August 2023, the pro-Russian Crimean channels "Crimean SMERSH" and "TalipoV online Z" published a video where a man scolds a petrol station attendant because of the symbols of the Russian army on his cap (the letter Z and the Russian flag). "One more time I see you in this fuckin' thing, I'll burn you at the same time. Understand? I'll fucking burn you, fuck!" - he said. The posts gave the name Dliaver Salimov. On 16th of August, Salimov was fined four thousand rubles under the article on drug use or refusal of medical examination in connection with suspicion of alcohol or drug intoxication (part 1 of article 6.9 of the Administrative Code) and arrested for 14 days under the article on disorderly conduct (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Administrative Code). According to the "Crimean Human Rights Group", Russian law enforcers verbally offered the man several times to apologise in a video, which was planned to be published in the same telegram channels "Crimean SMERSH" and "Talipov online Z". Salimov refused to apologise. On 23rd of August, the police opened a criminal case on death threats (part 1 of article 119 of the Criminal Code). After that Salimov was again offered to apologise. On 1st of November the charges were aggravated, imputing to the Crimean a threat of murder motivated by hatred (part 2 of article 119 of the Criminal Code), and on 2nd of November he was sent to custody. On 10th of April 2024 Salimov was sentenced to a year in an open jail. Presumably, he was released in May 2024.
