A resident of Yoshkar-Ola. He was prosecuted for spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces. He himself left Russia, and his mother-in-law and acquaintances were summoned for questioning. Obmaykin, according to him, was written to in WhatsApp by a person who introduced himself as an investigator and said that he had been put on an international wanted list. On 6 June 2024, Obmaykin was sentenced in absentia to five years in prison.
