Biography
Businessman from Ivanovo, founder of the George Orwell Library. In the spring of 2022, together with activist Anastasia Rudenko, he distributed more than 600 copies of George Orwell's dystopias 1984 and Animal Farm and Leo Tolstoy's story Khadzhi-Murat about the Caucasian War free of charge to Ivanovo residents.
In December 2022, Silin left Russia for fear of prosecution.
In May 2023, it became known that a case of repeated defamation of the army had been brought against him because of a comment under a post by an Ivanovo Telegram channel about the unveiling of memorial plaques to Russian soldiers who took part
