Then he was elected as a preventive measure in the criminal case for prohibition of certain actions.
When questioned, Skopin said he had left one of two comments in response to a message from a Suja resident in Ukrainian because he "wanted to support her". "At the time, I did not share the decision to carry out the SMO, having an anti-war stance, and murder is very bad," Skopin said.
On 5 September, the court sentenced him to three years in a general regime colony.
