Muslim from Bashkortostan, was convicted of involvement in the international Islamic religious movement Tablighi Jamaat ("Propaganda of Faith", hereinafter - TD), recognised as extremist and banned in Russia by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, he organised events to "call" Muslims to follow the norms of Islam, agitated other Muslims to join the movement, organised and attended meetings, and studied and stored TD literature. According to the investigation, he organised events to "call" Muslims to follow the norms of Islam, agitated other Muslims to join the movement, organised and attended meetings, and studied and stored TD literature. On 14 May 2018, Galliamov was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony. On 4 September 2018, the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan reclassified the charge from organising the activities of an extremist organisation to participation in such activities and reduced the prison term from 3 years to 1 year and 11 months. He was in custody from 17 March 2017 to 5 September 2018, when he was released after serving his sentence.
