Medvedev has been sent to a special detention centre for 15 days three times in administrative cases on the demonstration of Nazi symbols (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Administrative Offences Code). The first arrest was ordered because of his VKontakte avatar with the flag of Vlasov's Russian Liberation Army. The second time he was arrested because of a tweet with a photo of Ku Klux Klan members, which he posted to the news about a girl being robbed in South Africa. Another arrest related to a post about fighting Zionism. In November 2022, Medvedev was convicted under the article on intentional damage to property (part 1 of article 167 of the Criminal Code) because he damaged a car with the letter Z pasted on it. Medvedev tried twice unsuccessfully to leave Russia. In March 2023, it became known that Medvedev was taken into custody. He was accused of publicly justifying terrorism because of an audio message in a Telegram channel calling to "bomb the FSB building with Iskanders". According to the blogger, with his post he expressed an emotional evaluation "in connection with militaristic policy". On 15 August 2023, Medvedev was sentenced to four years and two months in a general regime colony. On 15 November, the appeal court reduced the sentence by three months.

In April 2023, it became known that a case was also brought against Medvedev for calling to go to a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on 23 January 2021. Later it turned out that the case was most likely initiated under the article on calls for mass disorder. The case was soon dismissed, as it was initiated at the time of expiry of the statute of limitations for the relevant acts.
