A native of Tajikistan, he lived in Moscow. In September 2021, he was detained and placed into custody on charges of organising and participating in the activities of a terrorist organisation. Later he was charged only under the article on participation. According to the investigation, he took part in the activities of a cell of the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir, designated as a terrorist organisation and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation.
