Igor Meshalnikov

A resident of the Kostroma region. In March 2025, he was searched in a case of financing extremist activities due to donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. The man made a monthly donation and from August 2021 to February 2022 transferred 2100 rubles to the FBK. During the investigation and trial, he was under a recognisance not to leave.

On 7 July, the court sentenced him to a fine of 40,000 rubles. The court explained the punishment below the lower limit by Meshalnikov's confession of guilt and his financial situation.

On 29 October 2025 in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring next to Meshalnikov's name was added a note, which is put in the names of those prosecuted under terrorist articles. Later it became known that another case was opened against him - on the financing of extremist and terrorist activities in connection with the donation of money to the Artpodgotovka movement. On 13 February 2026, Meshalnikov was sentenced in this case to ten years in a strict regime colony.
