A resident of Kazan, Nikolskaya was charged on 7 August 2024 with discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. She was placed under a travel restriction. On 16 September 2025, she received a three-year suspended sentence, but was released from punishment as the statute of limitations had expired.
