Ismet Ibragimov
Biography
A resident of Simferopol and a philologist specialising in Arabic, Ibragimov was detained on 7 July 2020 and placed in custody the following day. He was charged with organising the activities of a terrorist organisation and additionally accused of preparing for the violent overthrow of the government.
The case against him was based on his alleged involvement with the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir.
