A resident of the Luhansk region of Ukraine. He was prosecuted for participation in the activities of a terrorist community due to the fact that from autumn 2014 to August 2015 he served as a driver in the Aidar battalion - in his own words, to protect river fish from poachers in his area. In October 2025, Sykalo was taken into custody. On 2 February 2026, he was sentenced to five and a half years in prison.
