Biography
A student of the Department of Contemporary Art at the Higher School of Economics, School of Design. On 27 July 2023, he was detained and sent under house arrest as part of a case of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. TV propagandist Vladimir Solovev claimed that Trofimov and his fellow student Alina Olekhnovich were activists in Navalny's "underground headquarters" and were "helping the Anti-Corruption Foundation". In August 2023, the decision to place Trofimov under house arrest was overturned and he was taken into custody. On 14 March 2024, Trofimov was sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime penal colony. In December 2025, he was allegedly released from prison.
