As part of the criminal case, law enforcers came to Stetsch's house with a search on 8 May. First, they knocked on the door, presenting themselves as employees of Rospotrebnadzor. However, Stech did not open the door, and then they broke the window.
During the search, a router and a mobile phone were seized from the resident of Kaliningrad. After that, Stech was taken for interrogation, where she was informed that she was a suspect in the criminal case. After the interrogation, she was released home on her own recognisance.

On 19 November 2020, the Kaliningrad woman was sentenced to a fine of 350 thousand rubles (US$4492).
